This teaching introduces the Yuthok Nyingthig as part of a spiritual system composed with the intention of leading practitioners to experience the union of medicine and spiritual practice. The educational presentation is aimed at students interested in the Vajrayana as well as any spiritual practitioners by presenting the Yuthok Nyingthig teachings through basic Buddhist science and systematic philosophy.

Ngรถndro means preliminary practice or preparation. The term โ€˜preliminaryโ€™ refers to something very basic yet very profound and of great importance - like a treeโ€™s roots. In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, Ngรถndro practices are often very demanding with regards to time and effort. Strong dedication is needed to accomplish hundreds of thousands of prostrations, recitations of refuge and bodhicitta, Mandala offerings, etc. However, the Yuthok Nyingthig (Uncommon) Ngondro takes only seven days, thus sustaining Yuthokโ€™s special blessing as to speed.

  • Structure and contents of the Yuthok Nyingthig root text
  • General explanations on Vajrayana practices of ngondro, kyerim, dzogrim, karmamudra, mahamudra, and dzogchen
  • General explanations on Vajrayana schools, transmission, samaya and more
  • Explanations on Ngondro in Buddhism
