This course goes into detail in the study of analysis, pulse, and urine from the Explanatory and Final Tantras. Other aspects of analysis, such as observation of eyes and other sense organs, are included from one of the most clinically used texts, the Somaradza. 
 
The course block consists of three modules with the following content: 
 

TTM 2.1.1 Basic Diagnostics (9 hours)

The course consists of fifteen 2-hr online class (Total 30 hours). 
It will be conducted in Tibetan with English Translation.

Prerequisite

All students must complete TibMET 1 & 2/ TTM 1 - Elements & Root Tantra or its equivalent to receive certification.

*Students without prerequisite may attend as auditors


Certificate of Completion

Graduates who complete TibMET levels 1 through 7 are certified with a Sorig Khang International Diploma of Advanced Studies in Tibetan Medicine & External Therapies (DAS in TibMET).

Graduates who complete TTM levels 1 through 5 are certified with a Sorig Khang International Diploma of Advanced Studies in Traditional Tibetan Medicine (DAS in TTM).

A Certificate of Attendance in Principles of Diagnosis will be granted by Sorig Khang Singapore upon completion of all lessons, and completion and passing grade of all quizzes and homework assignments in this course. Student must complete the content within six months of the start of the course.

Dr. Tenjing Dharke Gurung

Dr. Tenjing Dharke Gurung (Guge) is presently the Managing Director of Phende Himalayan Sorig Centre, Kathmandu with its five branches in different parts of Nepal. He is the Director of Sowa Rigpa International College (SRIC), Kathmandu since its establishment, Vice-Chairman of Sorig Khang International Nepal (SKIN), Chairman of Sowa Rigpa Assosiation Nepal (SRAN) and President of Himalayan Guge Organization (HGO) Nepal. His family has been practicing 'Sowa Rigpa' medicine for five generations, He learnt Buddhist Philosophy and Astrology and medicine from his father Mengang Ulha Sonam Tsering and He took Basic Sorig Training with Amchi uncle Khedup & Amchi uncle Sonam Sangpo. Root Tantra, Pulse & Urine Analysis Training with Grandfather Amchi Jamyang Choesang. He completed his secondary education from Nepal Government School in Mustang in 1989 and Kapchuwa Degree in Traditional Sowa Rigpa Medicine System from Lo-Kunphen Men Tse Khang (1990-1995) in Mustang, Nepal. He did his one year internship and worked for one year as a lecturer at Lo-Kunphen Men Tse Khang. In addition to Sowa Rigpa medical studies, he has also done Diploma in Sorig Medicine with first division from Chagpori Tibetan Medical Institute with Prof. Dr. Throgwa Rinpoche and Dr. Phurbu Tsering in Darjeeling, India in 2001. He has also taken Acupuncture Training from Blue Lotus Healing Centre, New York, USA in 2002. He even pursued Root Tantra & Subsequent Refresh Course Producing Efficacious Medicine from Sorig Medical College Lhasa, Tibet with Prof. Dr. Wangdu in 2004. Further more he has done Root Tantra Training, Last Tantra & Urine Analysis and Introduction to Medicinal Plants from Men Tsee Khang, Dharmsala, India with Prof. Dr. Pema Dorjee, Dr. Yeshe Donden and Dr. Dawa in 2011. He also completed M. A. in Buddhism and Himalayan Studies (2015) from Lumbini Buddhist University / College of Buddhism and Himalayan Studies, Chabahil, Kathmandu. Dr. Tenjing also received many teachings of Medicine Buddha, Yuthok Nyingthik, Rigzin Terzod, Tersar, empowerment and transmissions from H. H. Taklung Tsetul Rinpoche, Penor Rinpoche, Rabjam Rinpoche, Chokling Rinpoche, Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche and H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche. He even practiced meditation for one year and one month. At the same time while pursing his degrees and trainings, He has also worked as a doctor at Himalayan Medicine Industry Pvt. Ltd. in Kathmandu from 1999 to 2003. Dr. Tenjing was appointed as Vice Chairman, Treasurer & General Secretary of Himalayan Amchi Association, Nepal in 2004 to 2013. He was also appointed as Lecturer & Medical doctor at Medical Institute & Clinic of Zhonsar Khentse Mentsel Monastery, West Sikkim, India from 2004 – 2005. He has been practicing Sowa Rigpa medicine as a chief physician and managing director at Phende Himalayan Sorig Centre, Kathmandu from 2006 to now. He has been working as Lecturer & Trainer of Sowa Rigpa Medicine System at Govt. of Nepal, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Buddhist Philosophy Promotion & Monastery Development Committee, Pulchok, Lalitpur Nepal since 2008. He has been attending different national and international programs and seminars for Sowa Rigpa for more than a decade. He has given presentations and consultations in many international and national conferences on Sowa Rigpa as a representative from Nepal.
